“2 Hole Version” Buttonhole Row (RS): Pattern 6 sts, BO 2 sts, pattern to end.
Sew 2 or 4 buttons onto front to coordinate with buttonholes. With crochet hook, work 1 row of single crochet in every other stitch around armholes. Weave in all ends.
Border Pattern (worked across 14 sts)
Repeat rows 5 – 16 for pattern.
Right Front
Shape Body, Neck and Armhole: Shape body and armhole on the left side of work same as back. AT THE SAME TIME, when piece measures 12” ending with a WS Row, shape neck as follows:
Next row (RS): Work in Border Pattern, p1, ssk, knit to end. Repeat this row every 6th row 13, (14, 14, 15) times more. 18, (21, 23, 23) sts.
Skirt Gore: (Make 5)
Cast on 27(31, 35, 39, 43) sts. Right side facing, knit 13(15,17, 19, 21) sts, place marker (pm), sl 1, (pm), knit 13(1517, 19, 21) sts.
Next row (WS), purl across slipping stitch markers.
Repeat these 2 rows for 3” (or double the size of the ddesired elastic you decide to use). End with a WS row.
Increase Row as follows:
K13(15, 17, 19, 21) M1, (pm), sl1, (pm), M1, K13(15, 17, 19, 21). (2 increases).
Row 35: Set up next set of charts: K10, pm, K14, pm, work chart, pm, k9, pm, work chart, pm, k14, pm, k10.
