Materials:
Covington: 2 - 100g Hanks
Gauge: 5 sts = 1” over st st.
Needles: Size 16” US 7 needle, size 7 dpns.
Size: Approx. 16” around x 10” tall

Lace Pattern
SSKP = slip 2 sts at the same time as if to knit 2 together, knit 1, [pass both slipped sts
over the knitted st].
Multiple of 10 stitches

Maker cords first and set aside.

Round 1 (and every subsequent odd round): Knit.
Round 2: *Yo, k3, SSKP, k3, yo, k1; repeat from *.
Round 4: *K1, yo, k2, SSKP, k2, yo, k2; repeat from *.
Round 6: *K2, yo, k1, SSKP, k1, yo, k3; repeat from *.
Round 8: *K3, yo, SSKP, yo, k4; repeat from *.

Beginning at top edge, cast on 80 sts, place marker and join in round taking care not to twist stitches.
Purl 1 round.
Work in the 8 round pattern until almost out of yarn, ending with a round 8. Purl 1 round to make a turning row.
Work bottom of bag as follows changing to DPNs when needed.
Round 1: Knit.
Round 2: *(K8, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 3: *(K7, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 4: *(K6, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 5: *(K5, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 6: *(K4, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 7: *(K3, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 8: *(K2, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 9: *(K1, k2tog); repeat from * around.
Round 10: *(K2tog); repeat from * around.
Cut yarn and pull through remaining sts. Pull up tight and anchor.

Make 2—24” long 3 st I cords. Weave through top edge in opposite directions. Tie end of
each together with its other end. Twist together and sew to inside, about ½” from top.
Make a third I cord- 3 sts this time- 16” long. Gather and tie in bow and attach to front-
