Materials:
Fantasy Naturale: 1/3 hank each red, white and Blue (100g hanks)
Gauge: 4.0-4.25 sts = 1” over garter st.
Needles: Size 7 needle.
Size: Approx. 8.5 x 5”.
With RED, loosely cast on 35 sts.
Knit 2 rows with RED.
Attach WHITE and knit 2 rows. Carry unused color loosely up the side edge.
Knit 2 rows with RED.
Knit 2 rows with WHITE.
Repeat these last 4 rows until there are 5 stripes of WHITE, ending with a WS row.
Begin blue star region as follows:
Next row: Knit 20 sts with RED. Attach BLUE and knit rest of row (15 sts).
Next row: Knit 15 sts with BLUE. Take care how you twist yarns to change color- making sure twist is on the WS of the cloth. Knit rest of row with RED (20 sts). Carry the unused red & blue yarns loosely up the middle of the cloth on the WS.
Knit 2 rows WHITE.
Knit 2 rows with the RED/BLUE split.
Repeat these last 2 rows until there are 6 stripes of the RED/BLUE split, ending with a WS row.
Bind off in the RED/BLUE Split. Weave in all ends.
