To Begin: Cast on 220 sts. Place marker after first and last 20 sts. Work 4” in garter stitch, increasing 80 sts evenly on last row between the 2 st markers only. Do not increase sts on the first or last 20 sts as this is the border. 300 sts Begin pattern, working sts in between markers in stitch pattern. When piece measures 56”, or 4” less than desired length, end with row 24. Begin working in garter stitch for 4”, decreasing 80 sts evenly across first row, between the markers only. DO NOT decrease any sts in the first or last 20 sts as this is the border. 220 sts. Bind off. Weave in all ends.
